1. Acceptance and eligibility

These Terms of Service (Terms) form a legally binding agreement between you and Snowtrax regarding your use of our website and your bookings for activities at Snowtrax, Matchams Lane, Christchurch, Dorset, United Kingdom, BH23 6AW.

By accessing our website, browsing content, or making a booking, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or make a booking.

Minimum age: you must be at least 16 years old to use the website independently and to submit enquiries. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must make the booking and accept these Terms on your behalf. Participants under 18 must attend in line with our safety procedures and supervision requirements.

2. Services and scope

Snowtrax is a snowsports centre in Christchurch, Dorset providing year-round skiing and snowboarding activities. Depending on availability and scheduling, our services may include:

  • Access to the main ski slope for public sessions and practice time
  • Ski and snowboard lessons for children (from age 4+) and adults, including group and private options
  • Snow tubing and family snow play sessions
  • Freestyle park sessions and coached progression (features may vary)
  • Birthday parties, group bookings, and corporate events
  • Equipment hire, where offered for your chosen activity

Service details, session descriptions, suitability notes, and pricing are shown on the relevant pages of our website. For the most accurate session times and availability, refer to Prices & Timetable.

We aim to keep website information accurate and up to date. However, activities may change due to operational factors such as weather, surface conditions, maintenance, staffing, and safety requirements.

3. Bookings and payments

Bookings may be made online through our booking flow referenced on the Prices & Timetable page, or via other channels where offered by Snowtrax. A booking is confirmed when you receive confirmation from us (for example, by email confirmation or an on-screen confirmation message).

Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. Payment is required at the time stated in the booking flow. If payment is not completed, your slot may be released and made available to other customers.

You are responsible for ensuring that the details you provide for the booking are accurate, including participant names (where requested), contact email and phone number, and the correct session selection. If you are booking for other participants, you confirm that you have permission to provide their details and to accept these Terms on their behalf where appropriate.

Promotional pricing, gift vouchers, packages, or group rates may be subject to additional conditions. If a condition is provided at the time of purchase or within the booking flow, it forms part of these Terms.

4. Changes, cancellations, and refunds

We understand plans can change. The specific options for rescheduling or cancellation may differ depending on the activity type (lesson, public session, tubing, group booking) and how close you are to the start time.

4.1 Customer-initiated changes

If you need to change a booking, contact us as soon as possible via Contact & Location. Where availability allows, we may offer a date or time change. We may require you to rebook into an alternative slot if the original session is full or no longer available.

4.2 Customer cancellations

Refund eligibility depends on the session type, the amount of notice provided, and administrative costs already incurred. If we are able to offer a refund, it will be returned using the original payment method unless we agree otherwise.

No-shows and late arrivals may not be eligible for refunds or rescheduling. If you arrive late, you may lose part of your session time. In some cases, it may not be safe or practical to join a lesson once it has started.

4.3 Snowtrax changes or cancellations

We may need to change, delay, or cancel sessions for operational or safety reasons (for example, adverse weather affecting safe operation, surface maintenance, lift issues, or staffing). Where we cancel a session, we will offer a reasonable alternative such as rescheduling, credit, or a refund, depending on the circumstances and your preference.

We are not responsible for third-party costs you may incur as a result of changes (for example travel, accommodation, or other bookings). Please consider travel insurance or flexible arrangements if you are travelling from further afield, including from London or the South East.

5. Arrival, safety, and conduct at the centre

Snowsports include inherent risks. Our aim is to reduce risk through sensible procedures, clear coaching, and safety rules. By attending a session at Snowtrax, you agree to follow all posted signs, staff instructions, and safety briefings.

5.1 Arriving on time

Please arrive with enough time for parking, check-in, and equipment fitting. Being ready to start on time helps you get the full value of your booking and supports safe session management for all guests.

5.2 Ability levels and suitability

Some sessions are intended for specific levels. If you book a session that does not match your ability, we may move you to a more suitable session (subject to availability) or adjust your participation for safety reasons. For beginners, we strongly recommend starting with a lesson. Visit Lessons for options and guidance.

5.3 Equipment and clothing

If you use your own equipment, you are responsible for ensuring it is in safe working order and suitable for the activity. If you hire equipment, you must use it as instructed and return it in line with the hire procedure. We may refuse the use of equipment that appears unsafe or inappropriate.

5.4 Behaviour and safety rules

To protect all participants, the following rules apply:

  • No reckless or dangerous behaviour on the slope, tubing area, or in queues
  • Respect ability zones, any speed guidance, and staff directions
  • No alcohol or drug impairment; we may refuse participation if safety is affected
  • Do not interfere with lifts, barriers, features, or safety equipment
  • Freestyle features must be used only during appropriate sessions and in the intended direction

We may refuse entry or remove participants from a session if behaviour creates a safety risk or disrupts others. In such cases, refunds are not guaranteed.

You are responsible for assessing your own ability and suitability for snowsports and for following safety guidance. We strongly recommend beginners start with a structured lesson and that all participants listen to staff instructions.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Snowtrax, its staff, and representatives from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or connected with:

  • Your breach of these Terms
  • Your unlawful use of the website
  • Your misuse of facilities or equipment

This indemnity does not apply to the extent the claim results directly from Snowtrax’s negligence or breach of law.
